These classes include a led asana class each morning from 7:00-9:00 AM. Richard teaches these classes for the first three weeks of the training, and he or his senior teachers lead a Mysore style class during the last week. The asana class is followed from 9:20-11:45 AM by chanting, a philosophy lecture and asana study focusing on the principles of form, alignment, anatomy, and adjusting. During this second part of the morning sessions, approximately half of the time is spent in chanting and lecture, half is spent working on asana and/or pranayama.
These classes are a study group session in which students are guided through specifics of asana theory, alignment principles and adjusting techniques. They are led by senior teachers from the Yoga Workshop.
These classes are an in depth exploration of asana and pranayama.
